Talking to you brings upon me the reality Drain me of my hope and send me home And I’ll be on my way Then I could build my castle I could see the whole thing clearly I could live between the ground and clouds And I know I say that holding on Isn’t worth it at all But if I let go and I lose you and it’s tragic How does that work tell me Residue of conversation clings around my ears But I can’t hear it if you’re screaming at me Saying it’s not there So I could build my castle I could see the whole thing clearly I could live between the ground and clouds And I know I say that holding on Isn’t worth it at all But if I let go and I lose you and it’s tragic How does that work tell me And I know I say that holding on Isn’t worth it at all But if I let go and I lose you and it’s tragic How does that work tell me

Did it hurt When you fell off your pedestal Cuz it hurt me I’m the one who put you there Did it kill To even breathe And did you lie awake wondering how to be free Of all the times it turned out fine And I stood on an island hoping One day maybe someone else would stay The stars from kings before me Shine down, impart their wisdom Oh it helps me keep on keeping on Oh I wonder When did they decide To simply up and throw away Every precious idol Then again it’s possible The gods were unidentified Maybe polished statues were only ever mine Oh I wonder When did they decide To simply up and throw away Every precious idol Then again it’s possible The gods were unidentified Maybe polished statues were only ever mine

How To Sing 02:39
I learned how to breath and what to eat and what to drink And I learned how to stand when I sing Then I learned Parking lots don’t have no walls they’re different from opera halls But I can’t stop loving both If I teach you how to breathe Will you remind me to sing Sometimes, and let it all go If I teach you how to breathe Will you remind me to sing Sometimes, and let it all go I learned how to sing about tuberculosis because That’s what everybody’s always dying of in operas Now I listen to a slightly new arrangement But I know that nothing’s 'gonna change The fact that Mozart’s been bombing the music industry Since 1759 when he was only 3 And basement venue crumbling walls Just don’t compare to opera hall acoustics But I am not complaining If I teach you how to breathe Will you remind me to sing Sometimes, and let it all go.

Jersey Boi 03:22
When people think you’re cool They tell you all kinds of things that you don’t want to know They invite you to places that you never really wanted go So maybe next time just leave me alone I could stay inside, yeah I could stay at home Take me by the hand and take me back to my comfort zone Ah, here we go… Ah, here we go Ah, here we go Ah, here we go I go along with you to see where you’re coming from And it’s all adding up but now Im wanting to run Most of the time you know that we really gel But the things that you’re into making me want to yell It’s like you think you finally found a mate in the soul So every difference oh it’s feeling like a betrayal But there ain’t no place to really put any blame When they’re standing there looking at you just the same Ah, here we go Ah, here we go Ah, here we go Ah, here we go Then you wonder why you’re there in the first place When they try to put a smile on your face Then you’re standing there, you’ve got a friend, and maybe that’s the thing That’s what the other one’s are there for, so take our time and care for Each-other, yeah we’ll make it through Ah, here we go Ah, here we go Ah, here we go Ah, here we go I go along with you to see where you’re coming from And it’s all adding up but now Im wanting to run Most of the time you know that we really gel But the things that you’re into making me want to yell It’s like you think you finally found a mate in the soul So every difference oh it’s feeling like a betrayal But there ain’t no place to really put any blame When they’re standing there looking at you just the same Ah, here we go Ah, here we go Ah, here we go Ah, here we go When people think you’re cool They tell you all kinds of things that you don’t want to know They invite you to places that you never really wanted go So maybe next time just leave me alone I could stay inside, yeah I could stay at home Take me by the hand and take me back to my comfort zone Ah, here we go

English class binder plastered in photos taken from magazines Of a band you kind of know, names of celebrities You kinda heard of, but all of your friends like So throw them in-between Rip out your laces for something that feels kind of cool When you take a moment to stare down at your shoes Give this girl a sharpie, or gel pen artist to be Will draw his initials on your hands like graffiti But it’s not in your heart no not for real Everything is secret, a mystery, and interesting All that stuff we find in the margins Etched into backpacks and old pairs of jeans So let’s get tattoos of each-other They won’t be subtle and we’ll never be the same It’s written on your body who you wish you could call But it’s not in your heart no not for real Everything is secret, a mystery, and interesting All that stuff we find in the margins Etched into backpacks and old pairs of jeans

Full-on American, into skateboarding and all that craic The kids in the hoodies that they call jumpers Outside by the tables they circle like a wolf-pack You’re riding lefty tonight, so throw me a can Well alright but they’re all for you because of who I am I let him drive my car; It’s not a metaphor Walls are flying by tonight Back at home we’d call it out of sight I let him drive my car; It’s not a metaphor I’m getting out of here cause I been there and done that But it makes me smile looking back We’d sit on the floor, and figure out the world Hey soul sister, where are you now And what are you thinking about? I’m getting out of here - been there, done that! But it makes me smile looking back I let him drive my car; It’s not a metaphor Full-on American, into skateboarding and all that craic The kids in the hoodies that they call jumpers Outside by the tables they circle like a wolf-pack

It’s tall and strong and built to last With a moat, and alligators, barbed wire And spikes coming off the top Oh I did account for the fact That I don’t let anybody in So if I do it probably means they can stay But I didn’t account for the fact That some just like breaking in Now I’m trying to chase them out But we never planned for this (oh he’s) Running around, running around Smashing vases, coloring on the walls Sees people dying As they try to climb the spikes They’re not nearly strong enough To make it through But oh how they try And feels bad to see them wonder Into harm’s way past the Neon flashing “harm’s way” entrance signs Oh, he shelters the wounded But they’re gone soon after he finds out They were faking the wounds Oh he’s running around, running around Smashing vases, coloring on the walls Oh I did account for the fact That I don’t let anybody in So if I do it probably means they can stay But I didn’t account for the fact That some just like breaking in Now I’m trying to chase them out But we never planned for this Oh he’s running around, running around Smashing vases, coloring on the walls

Claddah 03:00
I had an epiphany today- but then maybe it was just the sugar in the milkshake it was all to do with unconditional love but then I had to defend myself because push is gonna come to shove I would travel far on planes, trains, busses, boats on foot, skateboards, helicopters and cars Where ever I got I’ll keep my wits about I know who is standing beside me to keep me from falling down. the room went quiet- when we speak it’s so un true, they fell silent saying can’t talk like that when there’s a lady in the room the conversation wasn’t really all that scandalous but the noise coming from the speakers they were listing to woulda made the devil blush I will listen to music that you play on the drums, keys, bass, clarinet guitar or a voice with something to say but I won’t move my hips or clap my hands to destruction I would travel far but Ill never put down my guitar cause I know what its like to be home I hope I get to see you there

The Lane 03:02
We went down to the lane again And I know you know I been hanging on by a thread Won't you tell me a story But this time make sure it's full of glory As we paddle out again I only want to be free Now that we're dropping in This is who I want to be As we paddle out again I only want to be free Now that I'm dropping in This is who I want to be
